AMPLITUDE-COMPARISON DIRECTION-FINDING-ANTENNA SYSTEM.

Abstract

Theoretical study leads to the recommendation that an amplitude-comparison system consisting of eight antennas with a 45-degree beam width be used for the direction finding portion of the small ship direction finding and analysis receiver. An eight-antenna system reduces bearing inaccuracies by a factor of two as compared with a four-antenna system. (Author)
