ESTIMATION OF LOCAL ANISOTROPIC SCATTERING PROPERTIES USING MEASUREMENTS OF MULTIPLY SCATTERED RADIATION.

Abstract

The local anisotropic scattering property is estimated on the basis of knowledge of multiple-scattering properties. The phase function is expanded in a series of Legendre polynomials, and the coefficients are determined so as to best explain diffuse reflection measurements. The computational scheme is described and results are given. The FORTRAN program is presented in the Appendix. (Author)
