A SURVEY OF ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES FOR DETERMINING THE STATIC AND DYNAMIC STRENGTH OF PRESSURE-HULL SHELL STRUCTURES.

Abstract

A survey is made of the analytical and empirical procedures presently in use and proposed for the determination of the static and dynamic strengths of pressure-hull shell structures. The credibility and range of validity of these procedures are established, wherever possible. Problem areas requiring additional R and D effort are identified. (Author)
