PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE (PEM) FOR TRANSISTOR, PNP, SILICON, SWITCHING TYPE EL-2N(X-12).
Abstract
Manufacturing process specifications were modified or rewritten to allow production of transistor type EL-2N(X-12) on a volume scale. The formalized process was used to fabricate the preproduction samples and to evaluate personnel and equipment requirements for the pilot production run. Pilot line production capability exceeded 200 transistors per 8 hour shift, the specified contract requirement. A quality control manual was prepared to govern the life, environmental, and mechanical tests of the PEM device. (Author)
