INTRODUCTORY GUIDE TO LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES. A BIBLIOGRAPHIC ESSAY,

Abstract

Designed to assist beginning students of Latin America, this essay discusses works considered by the authors to be most useful in imparting general introductory knowledge. Works selected are limited to those published in the English language by authors whose reputations insure wide distribution and availability of their works. Hispanic America, Lusitanic America, and Middle America and the Caribbean are discussed separately. In addition to the works discussed in the essay, a supplemental bibliography on politics in Hispanic America is provided. (Author)
