SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF 1-SILYL-4-(VINYLSILYL) BENZENES,

Abstract

There were obtained two vinylhydride-n-phenylene-disilanes not described in the literature: 1-diethylsilyl-4-diethylvinylsilvland 1-methylphaylsilyl-4-methylphenylvinylsilyl-benzene (I). By use of the example of I the possibility of polymerization of vinylhydride-n-phenylenedisilanes is demonstrated. The polymerization of I, in the presence of Pt/C and by the thermal method without a catalyst, takes place with the formation of linear soluble polymers with silicon-phenylene-silicon-carbon chains, which was established by the method of investigation of the infrared absorption spectra.
