VARIABILITY OF WISCONSIN AREA ATMOSPHERIC LIGHT TRANSMISSION.

Abstract

The direct component portion of a large quantity of atmospheric light-transmission data being analyzed exhibits rather large fluctuations which have generated variations in corresponding computed attenuation coefficients. This report describes the results of comparisons between two different sample sizes of the data, made in an effort to reduce the degree of variation. The report also shows the magnitude of variation that occurred during similar transmission conditions. (Author)
