THE STATUS OF DEVELOPMENTS IN THE THEORY OF STOCHASTIC DUELS - 2

Abstract

The paper contains a brief outline of the history and the principal features of the Theory of Stochastic Duels, as well as the major analytical results to date. Areas for future research and possible fields of application are also considered. The connection with other models of combat, such as Lanchester's equations and games of strategy, is discussed. An annotated bibliography is included.
