EXCITATION OF 31P AND 32S BY 180 DEGREE ELECTRON SCATTERING,

Abstract

Measurement was made of the differential cross sections for inelastic scattering of 50 MeV electrons at 180 deg. by 31P and 32S nuclei. Using the long wave length approximation, lower limits for radiation widths were derived for the levels. For 32S the giant dipole resonance was investigated, and the results are compared with a recent calculation of B. M. Spicer. (Author)
