PROPAGATION OF SPHERICAL SHOCK WAVES IN RADIATING DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS,

Abstract

A mathematical treatment is presented of spherical blast waves in a radiating gaseous medium. Radiation as well as gas is considered to contribute to the energy and momentum transfer; and their interaction is taken into account on the basis of the form of the energy-stress tensor which is exact as long as the squares and higher powers of a ratio of the velocity of gas to that of light can be ignored.
