A NEW METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF FLUORODISULFATE SALTS

Abstract

Potassium and sodium fluorodisulfates were produced by the reaction of peroxydisulfuryl difluoride with the corresponding peroxydisulfates: M2S2O8 + S2O6F2 = 2MS2O6F+O2 (M = Na or K). When M is ammonium, some NH4S2O6F was obtained together with much NH4S2O6F = NH4SO3F + SO3.
