REACTIONS OF PENTAFLUOROSULFUR HYPOFLUORITE WITH CI2, BR2, I2, NO, NO2 AND PF3

Abstract

Pentafluorosulfur hypofluorite (SF5OF) was reduced to thionyl tetrafluoride (SOF4) at room temperature or below by Br2, I2, NO, NO2, or PF3. Chlorine did not react with SF5OF at temperatures up to 130C. (Author)
