REPORT OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE STUDY OF 69 LIMB MAKERS AND LIMB FITTERS.

Abstract

In conducting research on the problems of the above-the-knee amputees, information was sought from all groups who have had experience in this field. The opinions, attitudes, and experiences of these various groups were surveyed in an integrated fashion. Questionnaires were sent to a nation-wide sampling of above-the-knee amputees; to orthopedic surgeons who have specialized in the field of above-the-knee amputations, and to members of the limb making profession. This report deals with the results of the study performed with the cooperation of members of the limb making group.
