ABEL'S EQUATION AND THE CAUCHY INTEGRAL EQUATION OF THE SECOND KIND.
Abstract
The report shows that a Cauchy singular integral equation of the second kind can be solved by reducing it to Abel's integral equation. The reduction yields a new formula for the solution of the Cauchy equation. (Author)
