QUARTERLY TECHNICAL PROGRESS REPORT NO. 5, OF TECHNICAL PROGRESS,

Abstract

The first section describes the studies performed on shock hardening and strain rate effects. The second section discusses efforts in predicting strains in blanks formed into dies and in experimental work in material ductility in explosive forming and in blank stabilization. The third section contains a complete report of a literature survey of shock hardening effects on 18 per cent nickel maraging steel. (Author)
