ON THE UNIQUENESS OF THE SOLUTION TO ELASTOSTATIC BOUNDARY-VALUE PROBLEMS FOR THE HALF-SPACE.

Abstract

Uniqueness theorems are established appropriate to the classical elastostatic boundary-value problem for a half-space under given surface displacements or surface tractions. These theorems assure the uniqueness of the solution in the absence of artificial apriori requirements concerning its behavior at infinity. (Author)
