A SOUND/RANGING TECHNIQUE FOR LOCATING SUPERSONIC MISSILES,

Abstract

Mathematical formulations are developed which can be used with conventional sound-ranging data for determining a first approximation of a point on a trajectory of a vertically falling supersonic missile. The most interesting feature of the development is that it requires only a single four-microphone square array. (Author)
