ON OPERATION OF PUMPS AND BLOWERS UNDER REDUCED FEED REGIMES.

Abstract

The mechanism of the process of liquid flow towards a rotor under reduced feed regimes is exaimined. A postulate is introduced for maintaining the angle of attack of the incoming flow under these regimes. The solution of this problem permits a rational approach to optimizing a number of the geometric parameters of impellers, presently determined on the basis of far-fromprecise, purely experimental recommendations.
