DEVELOPMENT OF SIGNAL GENERATOR AN/URM-123 ( ).

Abstract

Fabrication and assembly of one prototype model was completed and testing started. Transit cases were ordered. Major effort was devoted to development and testing of variable frequency oscillator in AFC system. A source of instability was present but the problem was solved after consultation with transistor vendors. The power supply was completed, tested, revised as necessary, and retested satisfactorily. Effort on the klystron cavity consisted of determining parameters of available tubes and investigating VSWR as a function of frequency in the output probes. Unsatisfactory VSWR in the probes was corrected after analysis by time domain reflectometry. Other tests and design changes were performed on several parts of the equipment system. (Author)
