THE WAGE SURVEY AS A MANAGERIAL TOOL,

Abstract

Wage surveys can be an important tool if used properly. The successful application depends on many factors -- the most important being the use of managerial judgment. Computers have made it possible to obtain more up-to-date data, and to obtain it quickly. But survey users must be wary lest they come to rely too heavily on the computer. More care than ever is now needed to insure intelligent use of available data. (Author)
