SUPERCONDUCTIVITY AND LONG-RANGE ORDERING IN A15-TYPE STRUCTURES.

Abstract

Preliminary experiments indicate that there is a definite dependence of superconducting transition temperature upon the degree of atomic ordering in A15-type structures. Two new superconductors were discovered in the course of the experimental work: the stoichiometric composition Cr3Rh and the off-stoichiometric compound Cr72Os28 with transition temperatures of 0.06K and 4.03K, respectively.
