STUDY OF THE RADIO FREQUENCY SPECTRUM OF THE SUN.

Abstract

The report surveys the research programs carried out under contracts between Harvard University and the U. S. Air Force. The contracts were written to promote research on the study of radio burst emissions from the sun, and to permit the construction of an 85-ft steerable paraboloid antenna and of a new laboratory. The report is divided into five sections: (1) Introduction, (2) New equipment, (3) Solar radio patrol, (4) Scientific results, (5) Future programs. (Author)
