A THERMODYNAMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ELASTIC-PLASTIC CONTINUA,
Abstract
A general thermodynamical development of elastic-plastic continua for non-polar media is presented in which the plastic strain is not necessarily a symmetric tensor. Alternative, but entirely equivalent, developments of the theory are outlined and some special cases are discussed. (Author)
