Topics include: ferrocenyl-thiophenes from acetylenes; novel syntheses of ferrocenylacetylene and some of its derivatives; 1,8-diferrocenyl-octatetrayne; 1,1'-di-ethynyl-ferrocene; the formation of 1,3-diferrocenyl-propenone from ferrocenyl-chloromethyl-carbinol; light absorption in ferrocenyl acetylenes; the absolute configuration of (+)-ferroceno-(1.2) cyclohexene-1-on-3; assignment of configurations to the two isomeric bis-(alpha-ketotetramethylene)-ferrocenes; synthesis of some beta-disubstituted ferrocenes by aminomethylation of methylferrocene.
