THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THERMAL BALANCE AND ITS MAINTENANCE DURING ENVIRONMENTAL STRESS

Abstract

The paper describes in some detail the means, both physical and physiological, available to man for maintenance of thermal balance. It is also concerned with some aspects of thermal balance and performance when work is performed in hot or cold environments and the enhancement of performance that thermal acclimatization imparts.
