INTEGRATED CIRCUITS FOR FIELDATA COMPUTERS.
Abstract
Designs previously evaluated in standard units isolated by diffusion techniques are now being incorporated in wafers using dielectric isolation. Translational masks have been completed and used. Ultrasmall devices have been processed using higher sheet resistances and dry oxygen drive-in. Lateral PNP action is being studied as a method of 'sinking' excess collector stored-charge. A discrete breadboard of the TTL gate design shows switching times and power drain approaching those specified. The linear requirement for this contract is discussed, outlining possible circuit configurations and design values. An amplifier circuit is broken down into its stages and detailed design is outlined. (Author)
