THE CATALOG: A FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE FOR DATA STORAGE,

Abstract

Applications that use the computer as a processor of natural languages are considered. The importance of data in these applications requires a general and flexible, yet very efficient, data storage and management system. The basic features of a generalized data structure, called 'The Catalog,' are described Also described is the encoding scheme that was developed for use with catalogs.
