PHOSPHORUS-NITROGEN COMPOUNDS,
Abstract
Diphenylphosphinic amide reacts with PC15 forming chlorodiphenyl phosphine imine hydrochloride, ((C6H5)2P(C1)NH2)C1. This compound is easily hydrolyzed to diphenylphosphinate, reacts with further PC15 to the phosphorus nitride salt ((C6H5)2P(C1)=N-PC13)(PC16), and is decomposed at 270-290C giving ((C6H5)2PN)3 (yield: 51%) and ((C6H5)2PN)4 (30%).
