TEMPERATURE STUDIES OF THE ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY AND PHOTOCONDUCTIVITY OF MONOHALO DERIVATIVES OF BENZENE,

Abstract

An investigation of the temperature dependence of dark conductivity and of photoconductivity of monohalo derivatives of benzene (iodobenzene, bromobenzene, and chlorobenzene) in the temperature range 330-200K, which covers the liquid and solid phase, established that these quantities vary with temperature according to an exponential law. The activation energies for dark conductivity and photoconductivity of the investigated substances were approximately twice as high in the solid phase as in the liquid phase. (Author)
