AN ANALYSIS OF AN INTEGRALLY STIFFENED PANEL

Abstract

An investigation was made: (1) To design and test on integrally stiffened rectangular shear panel, (2) To develop analytical procedures for shear panels subjected to thermomechanical loading, and (3) To compare the analytical and experimental results to evaluate the accuracy of the analysis methods. The body of the report presents a summary description of the methods of analysis which were investigated, the design of the test panel, the experimental program and the analytical and experimental results. The details of the analysis methods and the digital computer programs developed to implement the use of these methods on the test panel are given in the appendices.
