INVESTIGATIONS OF ULF-RADIATION.

Abstract

Electric and magnetic fields of naturally occurring electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range 0.025--0.25 cps were received and analyzed. A long-wire array and an induction coil were used as pick-up devices for the electric and the magnetic field, respectively. After separate amplification, both signals were recorded simultaneously on magnetic tape. To obtain a frequency transformation, the recorded signals were played back at a much higher tape speed than used for recording. Spectral analysis of the recorded signals was performed. It was found that pulsations of the electric and the magnetic field often occur simultaneously at the same frequency. The mean spectra of the two fields was computed for the signals received during one 24 hour period. (Author)
