PERFORMANCE OF CONTROLLERMEN IN THE PROPULSION CUBICLE OF GUPPY SUBMARINES.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine if the application of human engineering principles could improve the performance of Controllermen and through such improvement increase the maneuverability of the submarine. The first step in such a study was to describe and evaluate the present performance of Controllermen. As a result of this evaluation, recommendations have been made which should result in improved submarine operation.
