UPON THE DIAGONAL SEQUENCES OF THE PADE TABLE.

Abstract

It is shown that if one of the diagonal sequences of the Pade table converges then, subject to a certain condition, the diagonal sequences at one remove from the convergent sequence must also converge. The convergence behaviour of the Pade table is also examined in the case in which a convergent diagonal sequence is neighbour to an oscillating sequence. (Author)
