ON CANONICAL BASES OF IDEALS.

Abstract

The integral basis omega 1,..., omega n of the algebraic number field F will be called canonical for the ideal A of F if d1 omega 1,...,dn omega n is a modul basis for A where d sub j are rational integers. In this paper the authors show: If A sub 1,...,A sub s are any s ideals of an algebraic number field F then there exists a basis which is canonical for each of the ideals A sub 1,...,A sub s.
