COMPARISON OF CHAIN SAMPLING PLANS WITH SINGLE AND DOUBLE SAMPLING PLANS,

Abstract

The paper describes the operating procedure of the generalized family of two-stage chain sampling inspection plans and develops a method of making comparisons of the operating characteristics of these plans with those of single and double sampling plans. Specific results are presented for the chain sampling plans with parameters: (k sub 1, k sub 2; C sub 1, C sub 2 = 1,2; 0,C sub 2) with C sub 2 = 1,2,3, and 4. These results indicate a significantly better efficiency with chain sampling plans. (Author)
