ANALYSIS OF LUG AND SWAY BRACE REACTIONS FOR THE XM19 AIRCRAFT POD.

Abstract

The maximum theoretical loads at the attachment points of the XM19 aircraft pod were determined. The load analysis as established by Military Specification MIL-A8591C was modified to include gun firing loads. The magnitude of the individual loads, the derivations of the pod reaction equations, and the sway brace reactions are included. (Author)
