EXPLORATORY STUDY OF THE VALIDITY OF A BODY WEIGHT-DOSE RELATIONSHIP FOR VARIOUS PHARMACOLOGIC AGENTS.

Abstract

The scientific literature was surveyed for the purpose of discovering examples of situations in which the amount of a drug required to produce a given effect is not related to the body weight of the test organism. The survey provides a rational basis for selection of certain drug actions suitable for experimental evaluation for conformity to the hypothesis that dose can be independent of body weight. (Author)
