LAYOUT, COMMUNICATION AND SEATING IN THE AIR CONTROL CENTER OF THE MIGRAINE III TYPE SUBMARINE.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present the findings of a human engineering study of the Air Control Center (ACC) of the Migraine III type submarine. This study was originally designed to develop a layout of workplaces and major pieces of equipment in the ACC. Upon completion of the recommended layout, however, the study was broadened to include an evaluation of communications procedures and seating requirements within the ACC.
