A STUDY OF THE PLOTTING AND COMMUNICATION FACILITIES IN THE CHART ROOM OF UOL-EQUIPPED MINESWEEPERS.

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation was to determine the efficacy, from a human engineering point of view, of equipment and procedures on coastal minesweepers equipped with the Underwater Object Locater (UOL). The investigation was directed toward the principal function of these minesweepers which is to obtain positional information on mines and underwater objects.
