PRIOR LEARNING AS A FACTOR IN SHAPING PERFORMANCE CURVES.

Abstract

The evidences of interference in performance on the Turret Pursuit Apparatus cannot safely be ignored in establishing basic policies concerning the training of personnel and the design of equipment. If responses required in the operation of present equipment are opposite to those already firmly established in service personnel, then the equipment should be modified or, as an alternative, provision should be made for extended periods of training for the operators of it.
