APPLICATION OF MICROBAROMETRIC LEVELING DURING LARGE SCALE GRAVIMETRIC SURVEY IN MOUNTAIN-TAIGA TERRAIN.
Abstract
The time from sunrise till 9-10 a.m. on the northern slopes and till 11-12 a.m. on the southern ones, as well as after 15-16 p.m., is most favorable for field observations. To reduce the distorting influence of pressure-and temperature-microfluctuations several readings should be taken on the instrument at one-minute intervals. Five-Seven readings should be taken at the fundamental points. Work should be discontinued during the periods of accelerated pressure changes, exceeding 0.8-1 torus/hour. In this case, moreover, an error of 1 min in time determination leads to errors of up to 0.5m. The temperature curves should be averaged, without taking into account the single 'splashes'. Special attention should be paid to the determination of the value of the barometric degree. (Author)
