THE MARKOV PROCESS ANALYSIS OF LUCHAK'S QUEUING MODEL.

Abstract

Customers arrive in a Poisson process at a single-server queueing system and demand a random number of phases of service, each phase requiring a negative exponentially distributed time. This system is analyzed by considering the bivariate Markov process formed by the queue-length and the number of residual service phases of the customer at the counter. (Author)
