NUCLEAR DETECTORS AND THEIR USES,

Abstract

The present volume provides a comprehensive and systematic introduction to detection technique in nuclear physics. It is divided into four parts: the fundamentals of nucleonic experiment; the various types of detectors (the major part of the book); synchronous application of detectors; and the reduction of experimental data. The book is based on the manuscripts of a series of lectures on 'Experimental Methods in Nuclear Physics' given by the author at Chinese University of Science and Technology, supplemented by some new material.
