HYPERSONIC FLOW AROUND A TRIANGULAR PLATE WITH BLUNTED LEADING EDGES,

Abstract

An analysis is made of the problem of a hypersonic flow without an angle of attack around a triangular plate with an angle 20 having a vertex with a resistance c sub x(d) constant over the edge, where d is the thickness and cx is the coefficient of resistance of the transverse section of the edge. For obtaining the reviewed qualitative results, a very simple two-layer scheme of flow is taken in whose framework the area is sufficiently removed from the forward edge, there is found the pressure distribution over the plate, the thickness of the high-entropy layer and the distance of the average speed in it.
