NEW MATERIALS IN ENGINEERING,

Abstract

This textbook has been prepared by a large staff of specialists to describe the new materials which are gaining acceptance in the various branches of engineering - plastics, rubbers, protective coatings, ceramic materials, glass and fiberglass, bonding materials, cermets, semiconductors, titanium, zirconium and similar new alloys. Specifications are presented for the new materials that have found application, as well as for materials of promise, for which we present their properties, and the methods and areas of their application.
