METHODS OF INVESTIGATING THE STABILITY OF LONGITUDINALLY CORRUGATED CYLINDRICAL SHELLS,

Abstract

The stability of a longitudinally corrugated cylindrical shell, compressed by longitudinal forces uniformly distributed over its fronts was investigated. The theory of equilibrium of thin walled rods was applied for the purpose of dividing the shell into rods. It was shown that the reaction forces between the mentioned rods affect the value of the critical load.
