A LITERATURE SEARCH FOR CARTRIDGE CASE PLUG MATERIAL STUDIES

Abstract

A comprehensive literature search has been carried out to determine whether plastic materials have been used in cartridge case plugs for semi-fixed ammunition and if so, which materials were studied and the results of those studies. Several military activities were visited and numerous personal interviews conducted in an effort to collect all pertinent information associated with cartridge case plug work. A synopsis of findings is given and references are made to applicable documents.
