HIGH RESOLUTION ULTRAVIOLET SPECTRAL STUDY OF THE AURORA IN ASSOCIATION WITH SATELLITE EXPERIMENT.

Abstract

Two spectrometers have been adapted for use in aircraft-based observations of auroral events, airglow, or high altitude nuclear tests. The instruments feature image tube detection and wide spectral coverage. The instrumentation and trials in aircraft and on the ground are described and illustrated.
