DEVELOPMENT AND QUALIFICATION OF IGNITION ELEMENT, ELECTRICAL, XM47.

Abstract

This report covers the development and qualification testing of the XM47 electrical ignition element. The element has redundant firing circuits, is functional over the temperature range of -65 to 400 F, and will not fire when subjected to one ampere/one watt of electrical energy. Presented are the element design, qualification tests and data, and performance characteristics.
