ENERGY SPECTRUM PI-ELECTRONS IN LONG CHAINS OF CONJUGATE BONDS,

Abstract

This work is devoted to the LCAO-MO method on infinitely long periodic structures and the electron energy spectra of certain ideal macromolecules with a system of conjugated bonds are studied. Special attention is paid to the close contact of the spectrum with structure and to the wide possibility of chemical synthesis. (Author)
